In the editorial of the Hipoges Corporate Newsletter 3Q 2024, Noelia shares her thoughts on her first months at Hipoges. She also invites us to reflect on leadership and personal and professional growth, while sharing her enthusiasm with some of the lessons learned along the way.
“Dear colleagues,
As I completed my first three months at Hipoges, I am grateful for this transformative period I have experienced. Coinciding with the completion of a management program I undertook earlier this year, which has inspired me to be a better professional and person, I want to share with you some key insights I take away from this time:
The importance of having role models: learning from people you admire, whether they are colleagues, managers, friends, or even unknown people who inspire you, is an unparalleled source of growth. If you don’t have them, look for them.
Take advantage of the changing times: periods of change often hide great opportunities. As Einstein said, ‘In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity”.
Have a clear vision of the future: a defined vision is tremendously mobilizing and will lead you to that new place where you want to be.
Never stop working, learning, and improving yourself. With effort, dedication to your work and service excellence to customers, employees and the community in general, that effort will be rewarded. It is the best investment.
Surround yourself with the best team and help them grow and become better. There is no greater satisfaction than contributing to the growth of others. Let’s put the Pygmalion effect into practice, trusting in the potential of our teams.
Stay true to your values, maintain integrity and consistency in your actions.
The example of our company is inspiring and puts into practice many (if not all) of the above lessons. Each with their own unique and genuine style, our Managing Partners and Co-CEOs are good examples of leadership from whom we can learn valuable lessons. Their courage to create Hipoges from scratch in the midst of the financial crisis that started with the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the company to which they were linked, is proof that adversity can be a catalyst for growth. Their strategic vision has helped us identify valuable opportunities such as investing in businesses related to our core business, and their emphasis on internal talent has been exemplary. The profile of our leaders may not always fit the prototype of the perfect leader that we are used to in the management industry. Let’s use this as an inspiration to be authentic. Don’t settle for the status quo, if you identify something that can be improved, be brave and take the necessary steps to change it, leave your mark on what you do.
