With the aim of sharing the latest news, initiatives and relevant content that drive our growth and reinforce our team culture, the 24th edition of the Hipoges Newsletter features António Pinto Abreu, Director of Portfolio Management at Hipoges Portugal, leading this edition with the editorial article.

As we have already presented in previous editions, the Hipoges Newsletter offers news that keeps us up to date on the real estate sector, as well as key data and information related to the areas in which the company is involved. In the editorial of the Hipoges Corporate Newsletter 4Q 2024, António reflects on the road travelled in 2024 and looks ahead to 2025 with optimism and purpose, highlighting certain key points.

“A happy 2025 to all of us, where we aim to be better than in 2024 and worse than in 2026.

In January 2024, José Querejeta wrote that it would be a crucial year for Hipoges and the entire sector, where we would have to rise to the challenge of being market leaders in a mature market in need of transformation.

With this goal in mind, there was a reorganization within the operations team. As with all restructurings, some things go well, while others require minor adjustments.

At this stage, it makes perfect sense to recall one of Jimmy Carter’s iconic phrases: “We must adjust to changing times while holding to unchanging principles.”

It is timely to remember Hipoges’ values — Ambition, Commitment, Transparency, and Trust — so that together we can continue to pursue the Hipoges Group’s vision:

To be a leading, international platform that provides end-to-end asset management solutions in a profitable, efficient, and innovative manner.

We must have Ambition, so we can achieve all the goals we set for ourselves, both personally and professionally, with the simple desire to be better in 2025 than we were in 2024.

Commitment is fundamental to achieving results. Without commitment, there is no dedication, no desire, no drive. As Pessoa wrote, “God wills it, man dreams it, the work is born.”

Transparency and Trust always go hand in hand. Transparency is one of the main creators of trust. Both are bidirectional: it is impossible to trust someone who doesn’t trust us.

If we think of the best day of our lives, it’s impossible for everything to have gone perfectly. We are the main agents of change and the ones responsible for achieving our results. In every moment that doesn’t go as planned, we know we can always rely on those around us to overcome any adversity.

I’ll end as I began: May we be better in 2025 than we were in 2024 and worse than in 2026.”
